Gas Grill Maintenance - Easy Tricks Anyone Can Do
Do just a few easy little bits of maintenance everytime you grill and your Sunbeam Gas Grill can give you a
lifetime of great tasting grilling and Barbecuing
6 Gas Grill Maintenance Tips to Keep
Your Sunbeam Gas Grill Running Hot
Think of your gas grill as an asset -- no matter how old or used it may be -- and not just another piece of
patio furniture.
After all, your barbecue has been a very big part of your outdoor activities for many years -- and if you treat
it right and take care of it -- can be for many years to come.
Like all assets, proper maintenance and care is the key.
Luckily there are a few very easy and quick things you can do to ensure that your Sunbeam Gas Grill will last
for those years.
While some maintenance and cleaning are specific to the type of barbeque grill that you buy (gas, charcoal,
electric or smoker), the following 6 tips should be applied to all grills to keep them in tip top condition.
Tip # 1- Gather the Necessary Items
You will need a few ordinary items on hand when it comes time to clean your barbecue. Here is a short list you
will find handy:
- Brass wire grill brush
- Steel wool pads, preferably that contains soap already.
- Mild dish soap
- Sponge or dishcloth
- Spray cooking oil
- Dry baking soda
- Aluminum foil Tip
#2 - Always Brush Your Grill Off
The main thing that you should always do is to brush your grill grates and burners (on gas models) after every
use. Most people know this obvious one -- so let's move on.
Tip #3 - Use Spray Cooking Oil
Most people believe that you should spray your grates with oil before cooking. That's fine if you want to. But
it's more important to spray them down with a light layer of cooking oil after cooking and letting it cool off
BEFORE storing it away. Spraying it down with cooking oil will prevent your barbecue grill from
rusting.
Tip #4 - Use Baking Soda and Aluminum Foil
Lightly scrubbing your barbecue grill with baking soda and aluminum foil will give it that extra shine, like the
day you bought it. Just be sure NOT to scrub the painted areas with the foil.
Tip # 5 - Prevent Problems BEFORE They Happen
If you notice something that does not seem quite right with your barbeque grill, stop and investigate. Chances
are it can be fixed with just a simple cleaning. If not, then it's a good bet that a quality replacement part can
be had for a reasonable price and your investment saved to keep enjoying for years to come.
